A first book about Pope Francis appears in Ukraine
Francis the Pope: Life and Challenges, the first book in Ukraine about the newly elected Pope Francis has been published. Its author, Saverio Gaeta recounts moving and complex moments of the Pope’s biography, narrating the forced emigration of his parents from Italy, his first infatuation, his love of soccer and tango, the letter from his grandmother, which to this day he carries in his missal (Chasoslov).
Also in this book the reader will learn about the stages of the spiritual formation and development of the future Pontiff. It also contains in a brief form, some of the typical expressions of the Pope, which will help one to understand his stance on atheism, catholicism, the role of women in the Church, the mission of the laity, priesthood, act of serving, humility, prayer, and the Vatican.
The appendix contains a short history of the Papacy and a list of popes through the ages until today.
