In less than three months, the Pope Benedict XVI is going to visit the African continent in the second time. November 18, 2011 the Holy Father will be to Benin - a country in a western part of Africa. So the whole country is in full preparing to this meeting and does its best.
Pascual Hvezodzhe, vice-president of the organizing committee during a press conference in Cotonou, the largest city in the country spoke on preparation for the meeting.
The priest said that the main motives of the visit is celebrating of the 150th anniversary of the evangelization of the country, honoring the memory of Cardinal Bernardino Hantina Beninese, who was promoted to the dignity of cardinal together with Joseph Ratzinger, in 1993.
First trip of the Pope Benedict XVI was also connected with the Synod. Then, in March 2009, during the Mass in the capital city of Yaounde Cameroon, the Holy Father presented the African hierarchs with working paper, according to which there was a meeting at the Vatican.
